The Business Council of Westchester (BCW), Westchester’s largest and most influential business organization, will host an interactive lunch with Joe Connolly on December 3 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown, NY. Joe is a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, where he provides business news reports to WCBS Newsradio 880. The lunch is part of The Business Council of Westchester’s KeyBank Speaker Series, an ongoing initiative designed to educate and inform the Westchester business community.

“Attendees will have a chance to talk to Joe about what they’re seeing and hearing in their own businesses and community, and to hear his thoughts on the most relevant business trends,” said Business Council President/CEO Dr. Marsha Gordon. “He is an incredible resource for the business community and we’re very pleased to have this opportunity to share ideas with him.”

Joe’s business reports on WCBS are heard by 2 million people a week and by more worldwide on the Wall Street Journal’s web site, wsj.com. Joe has covered The White House for Associated Press Radio, presidential campaigns, Congress, and sports. He was once a press secretary in the United States Congress.

Joe has been a member of management in the media industry, as Assistant News Director of the all news radio station in Washington, D.C. and as Managing Editor of the RKO Radio Network in New York. He has won many awards for his reporting from groups ranging from the New York State Certified Public Accountants for broadening financial understanding to The New York Press Club for his daily small business reports, which have aired on WCBS for more than ten years.

The KeyBank Speaker Series is presented three times a year by The Business Council of Westchester; past speakers have included bestselling author Jonah Lehrer; John Mara and Mike Stevens of the New York Giants; Rae Rosen of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli; and David Wyss, Chief Economist at Standard & Poor’s, among many others.

The December 3 event is open to the public, and pre-registration is required. The cost to attend is $60 for members of The Business Council of Westchester and $75 for non-members. Registration is available online at www.westchesterny.org or by calling the Business Council at (914) 948-2110.
